iPhone 15 photos overexposed in Photos, fine in preview

iPhone 15

iOS 26.2

Apple default Camera app

Apple default Photo app

I have taken some very normal photos today.

When try to visualise, some of them get “burnt”, mostly white/extremely exposed (see first screenshot). I think this has something to do with HDR.

The preview looks nice though (see second screenshot)

NOTICE: if I set the maximum zoom in the preview (1 photo for each row), this problem disappears; this is, when opening the photo, I visualise it correctly.

(grey is for censoring personal photos and data)

Many thanks for any help.

Have you already tried to turn off the Settings > Photos > Show full HRD? If not, try it.

This option is making the photos more saturated and emphasizing the contrast in the highlights and shadows in Photos.
