How to resolve a stuck Apple Pay authorization and server error for an order?

I have a stuck Apple Pay authorization.

Order ID MV2xxxxxxx

It does not appear as pending or unpaid, but it blocks all payments.

I have a server error failureType5006 from buy.itunes.apple.com

which proves the order is stuck in an authorization-recovery loop.

I need a Billing Escalation to Media Services Billing for manual token removal.

The order is an Apple Pay / App Store billing order tied to my Apple ID (webOrderId MV2NQY43NK).

The error appears when I’m redirected to buy.itunes.apple.com to view or recover billing details for that order. Instead of loading the billing dialog, the server returns an error (failureType5006) and the authorization dialog does not open.

The order does not appear as pending or unpaid in Purchase History, but the stuck authorization blocks all further Apple Pay payments and subscriptions. This points to a backend authorization-recovery issue rather than a device or app problem.

I have already completed all steps from the linked Apple Support article:

– waited 48+ hours

– restarted the device

– removed and re-added the card

– confirmed with my bank that there are no pending or blocked authorizations

The issue persists across multiple merchants and networks.

This indicates a server-side Apple Pay token or account state issue, not a local device or bank problem.
