Safari reload deficit and Preview selection bug, very serious

Safari of macOS Tahoe 26.2 failed to make keyboard shortcut of "Command + R" work. I cannot refresh the webpage anymore w/o press "Option + Command + R".

PS: Preview bug with text selection has broken for a long time and no fix in Tahoe 26.2 neither.

We urgently need a complete fix for these two issues a they have affected our daily productivity.

Sincerely,

Tom

Using keyboard commands " Command + R" " and / or " Option + Command + R" in Safari version 26.2 (21623.1.14.11.9)

cmd+R works for me with Safari running Tahoe 26.2

What "Preview bug" are you referring to?

I noticed the ticket you posted that you are telling others to report the possible bug here in these forums. That will get you nowhere. These user-to-user forums are manned by fellow users like yourself. Apple Support is not here and does not monitor these forums. No one here is an Apple employee.

If you want to report this to Apple you need to use the feedback system.

If enough users report the same issue Apple might take a look. Always remember that any issue you might encounter doesn’t mean all users have it. As you can see from the responses no one has confirmed the issue themselves, including myself.

Please try this one https://www.ebooksyard.com/the-economist-usa-december-13-2025/ which is a PDF of the weekly The Economist. It has this issue on my current running macOS Tahoe 26.2

For what it's worth, that PDF is encoded using PyPDF2 which as far as I know, isn't 100% supported by Preview, Skim, PDFgear or even Adobe Reader. That's not likely to change. Just to add, all the aforementioned apps treat the file the same way.

Hello, guys

Thanks for your feedback and I will check the Safari refresh shortcut later. The Preview selection bug is when you open some (not all) PDF files and select some text, the app behaves wired such as it will automatically scroll upward, strange colors showing up, etc.

Thanks for the update regarding Safari
