why won't Tahoe work with the photo app
after installing Tahoe 26.2, my 2021 M1 Mac won't open photo app. Or when it does open the photo is pixelated and video won't play

Well, it is not a universal condition because Photos works without issue on my M4 Pro Macbook Pro running 26.2.
Some questions:
— Any hints that this was trying to happen before the last update?
— If you restart the computer does it improve?
— Are the images in your iCloud storage or on your computer? If in iCloud, a slow internet connection could be at play.
— Are you running any of the following;
- Anti-virus apps?
- So-called "cleaning" or "optimization" apps?
- Client-side VPN? ( this ones overhyped in TV adverts, not one an employer issues to conenct to their servers)
