Hey everyone. Ever since installed OS26 (and 26.1 now) - whenever I fast play any video on 1.25x, 1.5x, 2x on the AppleTV - the audio gets massively distorted on HomePods. Be it on YouTube, Difuse, or any supporting app. I even tried mirroring from iPhone
-same issue.
Anyone else experiencing the same? I noticed no posts about troubleshooting.
I have the same issue. It’s not just YouTube as you have suggested.
other streaming services with playback speed turned up have this issue.
to me, it appears to be a Apple TV and HomePod pairing issue only since tvOS26. Seems of a less of an issue with Bluetooth headphones. But definitely when playing audio on HomePod all my YouTube audio breaks.
Have not noticed this on mine . Btw all software is now on 16.2. Please update your Apple TV & HomePods to address any bug fixes. As well as your iPhone.
Still after updating my Homepod to 26.2,YouTube audio breaks when playing videos at anything other than 1x speed.
At 1.25x or higher, the audio is "static-y" and distorted almost immediately.
Strangely, AirPods work fine, it only happens with other audio outputs.

to tell you the truth I've yet to ever play youtube faster than 1X speed or any other streaming services on any tvOS version
but it's google/beta who develop the youtube app so if you only experience this issue there then you may have more success trying to access their support to inform them of the issue and inquire if they are working on a fix
