2 factor authentication not coming through

There are thousands of businesses that send authentication texts. Is it all, or only one?

Perhaps a long shot:

Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN, then restart your device. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. Updates sometimes need to have VPN to be removed and reinstalled. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN, but probably shouldn't.

Are you able to receive other SMS Text messages? If not that is something you need to resolve with your carrier. The 2fA codes are being sent as SMS, so it may be that you are not receiving any SMS messages and that is a carrier service.

The text would be from an Android user and usually most spam is sent by SMS. When viewing a SMS message in the Messages app, you will see "Text Message" in the field where you normally type and if it is an iMessage, then it will say "iMessage" in the field where you type. Also when you respond to a SMS message, it is the one with the green text bubbles instead of the blue ones.

Can you receive regular SMS Texts?

Ask a friend to send you a text

Then you will need to contact your cell provider and tell them you are not receiving SMS Text messages.
