MacOS 26.2: The microphone is not working in Telegram and Signal.

Look at your Audio MIDI Setup.app and see if there is any resolve there...

Is the microphone working in other apps, like for example Quicktime Player?

When you say "the microphone is on", I take it that you mean these two applications "Telegram" and "Signal" appear in

System Settings->Privacy & Security->Microphone, and the boxes are checked, right?

What exactly happens when you try to use the microphone in these applications? Be specific.

Incidentally, the microphone worked on FaceTime but not on apps like Telegram and Signal. Weird.
