WiFi connections on IPad. ALL disappear

I have a new 2025 A16 IPad

It randomly loses All WIFI. As in none of the several found networks show in the list.

Only a shutdown and restart will resolve the issue.

OS is 18.6.2

Any suggestions on how to resolve?

thx

On a Mac, the basic Wi-Fi environment characteristics are visible when using Option-Click on the Wi-Fi logo 🛜 in the menu bar to capture some Wi-Fi network data.

For us to look at the Wi-Fi network data here, please post the items shown in the following image including the Security mode and from Channel to NSS inclusive (Security, Channel, Country, RSSI, Noise, Tx Rate, PHY mode, MCS, NSS, green highlight) (without posting the Wi-Fi address, any local HotSpots that might be present, the network name, or the BSSID, all of which are expurgated from the image shown below, red highlight), and we can take a look at the basic network environment.

An add-on app, such as the (inexpensive) WiFi Explorer app can be very useful for visualizing local Wi-Fi activity, as well. The vendor has a three-day free trial here: https://www.intuitibits.com/products/wifiexplorer/

If that list is at all representative, that local network environment may well be (or is) the issue here.

Getting the signal and noise, and the competing channel layouts, would be interesting.

In this case, the “but everything else works” isn’t a great predictor of whether different or newer gear and newer Wi-Fi standard will work in a particular environment, or whether specific firmware works with specific gear. An Italian telco has some gear that wasn’t working at all well per a recent discussion around her4, for instance. And periodic problems and drop-outs are a common symptom of competing network channel reassignments causing cascading failures within congested environments.

Maybe denser 5GHz and 6 GHz coverage and less mesh backhaul and fewer SSIDs and little or no 2.4 Ghz can help. That’s assuming it is not feasible to coordinate these networks.

Whoever is running those hidden networks isn’t all that fond of their own client privacy either, but that’s fodder for another day.

So to confirm, there are multiple nearby Wi-Fi networks? Yes

Are multiple access points or mesh routers within your network? Yes there are 2 access points within my network. a private network and a guest network.

Do you have a Mac or a PC available to check the local Wi-Fi environment? Yes, all other wifi network still show on both PC and Iphone.

Resetting the Ipad network settings works for a while. Then All "Other" networks will disappear. Requiring a reset of the network settings again.

As I was typing a reply to your message. The wireless stopped again on the IPAD. It displayed "no network connections",

My PC showed the following wireless connections available at the same time

I once again, performed a reset on the network settings and when the ipad restarted all network settings came back.

At this time, I believe this to be a hardware issue and I will contact Apple for service.

thanks for your help.

Perhaps I was not clear.

I’m somewhat confused about the configuration.

I have 3 separate wireless connections that are within the firewall.

So to confirm, your (presumably) firewall / gateway / NAT box is offering three SSIDs and three Wi-Fi networks?

Is this Wi-Fi box using mesh, with other mesh routers active?

When the wireless drops, there are ZERO available connections available when there should be 7, 3 local, 4 neighbors. NO VPN installed. I'll try to reset the network and see if that helps.
