Fine tuning how Stacks behave?

Can Stacks be fine-tuned?

Stacks are always aligned to the side, what about placing a stack in a preferred location on the Desktop? For example, I would like certain Stacks to always be in one particular location, like Images, or Documents, etc. This would make Stacks much easier to utilize.
