When I move or resize an item part of it disappears

Question

When I move or resize an item part of it disappears

I created a Santa in a Sleigh - I want to make him move across the sky using the transition section & keyframes.

For simplicity I made the item a compound clip. It looks great - then I simply try to move it and just Santa disappears. So it's not like the item gets cut off - it clearly removes JUST Santa - why? What am I doing wrong & how can I fix this? Obviously it's a pressing video as Christmas is in 3 days so I could really use some quick help

Are the Santa and Sleigh made from still images and then made into a compound, or something else?

Can you share screenshots of your compound and the project?

Perhaps even better is if you could share an xml of your project (File->Export XML).

You can then send the file to yourself using wetransfer and post the link here, so we can test.

Check your key frames.

Sometimes a value can be inverted.

Position X: 230 Y: 1529

Position X: -230 Y: -1529

And just like that, it’s gone.

Check the transforms key frames.
