Playlist FROM iPhone TO MacBook Pro

Hi

On my iPhone, I have a playlist of approx 335 tracks. On my MacBook Pro I have over 8500 tracks including the 335 on my iPhone.

For some reason the playlist does not show on my MBP.

Is there a way to get the Playlist FROM my iPhone TO my MacBook Pro, without having to list all the songs in the Playlist and recreate the playlist on the MBP. I do have Apple Match subscription.

Many thanks

Yes, you can transfer the playlist from iPhone to Mac without recreating it

Most likely cause: playlist created while Sync Library was OFF

Turn Sync Library ON on both devices

Edit the playlist slightly on iPhone to force iCloud sync

If needed, use Finder device sync to extract the playlist

iTunes Match already covers the tracks — only metadata needs syncing

There are two different library syncing services, Apple Music and iTunes Match. Which one do you have? If I recall correctly enabling Sync Library with Apple Music on an iPhone should prompt you to merge or replace the library of content on the device with your Cloud Music Library. As long as you select merge any eligible tracks and playlists on the device should sync to the cloud, from where they can become available to stream/download to any of your other devices or libraries that have Sync Library enabled. I don't believe iTunes Match offers the same facility from a device, although it does from a computer.
