Silent mode turning on and off automatically.

My haptics go silent on my iPhone 13 Pro constantly for no reason & don’t go back on. They’re set to control w/buttons, vol is set to max & switch is on so this shouldn’t happen. After I miss enough calls & notif’s I go to settings, turn control w/buttons off then on, hit volume button to max again & it’s back to working again until I notice it’s gone silent again. Really frustrating.

Force Restart your phone:

• Press and quickly release Volume Up
• Press and quickly release Volume Down
• Press and HOLD the side button until the Apple logo appears. This could take up to 15 seconds while holding the side button and you will have to ignore anything else on the screen until you see the Apple logo. If it does not appear, try again as it may take a couple of attempts to get the speed and sequence of the key presses correct.

Next step if you already performed the Factory Reset is to schedule an appointment with Apple. That is a problem that needs to be addressed by them where they can perform diagnostics to reveal the cause.

Is your Action button configured for Silent Mode?

Use and customize the Action button on iPhone - Apple Support (GE)

Even if you are not clicking the Action button, if it is set to be used for Silent Mode, I would change it to see if the Volume Down, then triggers that action. That may indicate a hardware problem or something causing the button to be pressed.

Turned vol down & up but nothing triggered silent mode. Did it from Home Screen & haptics w/no issue. My phone case has big enough opening around side button that it’s not impacted at all. So, no solution for me yet but I’m going to turn off control w/buttons, leave vol on max & see if that changes anything 🤞

Was this an Apple manufactured case or from a third party? You should not be experiencing that with an Apple manufactured case and if so, then Apple needs to know about it.

Did you turn off Smart Activation in each focus settings? DND in particular.

Tried that reboot multiple times & it didn’t fix the prob.

Yes! I have sev friends w/iPhone 13’s who have same prob.
