CD printing: Can't open EPSON Print CD file types .ec3 and ec4 on mac

EPSON PRINT CD for mac, is not recognizing files from an older windows PC for the same year printer , the problem is the saved CD labels won't open.

The file formats are .ec3 and also .ec4 these were saved on my older PC>

The latest mac osx "print CD" app, will not open the saved documents from my old pc, which were fine until the old pc died.

Anybody else had this problem or figured out how to open these file types on mac in epson print cd?

Contact Epson support. See if they have a conversion suggestion that will allow you to open these Windows created files with the current Epson Print CD tool either on Windows 11, or Mac. These are extremely proprietary files and you may be unable to ever open them on a Mac.

You can rule out LibreOffice and GraphicConverter 12, neither of which supports this file format.

As your old PC died, can you find an older working PC that supports the version of Windows and Epson software to reconstitute your old PC environment? Might be the only way forward with those .ec{3,4} files.

well epson doesnt have domestic support anymore. What you said makes sense.

i'll be curious if anybody else here has had a similar dilemma?

the PC was what i printed my labels on usually....
