Apple will never answer this thread. They don't participate in this user to user forum. You can wait until the cows come home and until hades freezes over because it's not going to happen.
There are other appropriate ways to report issues with your iPad to Apple. Have you ever looked for another way to get in touch with them?
Same problem! Any solutions! Blackout middle of typing email, and lose all typed! So annoying!
I have had the same problem. Caused a bit of a panic until I found that the cover of my STM case caused the screen to black out. The STM cover has magnets in the corners and functions the same as the Apple "Smart Cover". But the STM cover can be folded back around the iPad so that the magnets are behind the right hand edge of the iPad. If the cover is then squeezed against the back of the iPad the screen goes black. Does your cover have switch-off magnets like my STM?
How many times are we going to see "Same problem here..." in this thread before APPLE gives us an answer. It has to be in the software. I've turned off Notifications, all push, fetch, location services, anything that would come at it on the WiFi and knock it out. Nothing works. I'm wondering if a Reboot would work, has anyone tried that.
Bottom line, time for Apple to stop ignoring this thread and give us some help.
I'd love to know an easy way to get in touch with them ... perhaps the other folks here share my frustration and could use the info too ...(Thank you!)

You can start with one of these. You can Google Apple support and come up with all sorts of websites.
OK ... good information. I got an answer from them and am trying it. It may be all that is necessary is a simple reboot. (Hold Down Home and Power Button at the same time, continue holding past "slide to turn off" and the white apple appears. Then let it do its thing. I've been using it for about 20 minutes now and no problems ... seems a very simple answer? If this doesn't work, then they want me to try a "restore" inside ITunes. Thank you for the information.
