iPhone 17 pro camera and screen

Hey guys, so I just bought a 17 pro. My wife has a 16 pro max. Apparently the 17 pro has a brighter screen and better camera.

1. ⁠Brightness of screen. I just set both phones to same settings. Tested them next to each other. iPhone 16 pro max is easily brighter.

2. ⁠Camera. So the 17 pro apparently has a 4x optical zoom, with 8x digital crop with larger sensor. Apparently, all the YouTube reviewers claim, the iPhone 17 pro shows a lot more detail and is better in low light. This is not true. I took a bunch of photos. Very disappointing. A. I zoomed in on a fabric chair. The 16 pro max showed each strand in detail. The 17 pro was blurry. I took more of the same thing. 16 just kept showing detailed strands. The 17 pro was struggling, you could barely make out the shape (this is low light, as in there is just a dim light at night time where we eat outside). B. Took a 4x and 8x digital zoom of my garden. Did the same with the 5x on the 16 pro max. If you zoom in by pinching, again, the 16 is miles better. Am I missing something?

I read somewhere the 17 seems dimmer because of new tech. Sorry, but that’s rubbish. One is 2k nits, one is 3k.. how the heck is the 2k THE BRIGHTER one.

Anyone else uograde see the same as me? I’m writhin return and seriously thinking of just getting a 16 pro.
