Recovering an unsent text message that was accidentally deleted before finished and sent?

How can I recover an unsent text message text that I accidently deleted without finishing or sending?

I saw an earlier thread (Feb 2025) about this that included this answer---

"Unless you were replying to an existing message thread, that text is gone. "

So I *was* replying to an existing message thread.....

Does this mean it is possible then?
