Elevation gain issues on custom workouts

Today I ran a Custom workout with 2 segments. After finishing the second segment, an open target segment started automatically. After pressing the Finish button, the Activity app shows 0 elevation gain, However, it shows normal graphs with approximately real elevation data. The real elevation gain is about 70 - 80 meters.

Does anyone experience the same problem with Custom workouts?

Please, do not suggest any 3rd party apps. I want my expensive watch basic app to work normally.

This problem started after the update to iOS 26.

Did you already try to force restart your iPhone and Apple Watch?

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

To force restart your watch, press and hold the Digital Crown and the Side button together for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.

If this only happens when using the custom workout, you should let Apple know directly about this issue by using the Feedback link, as this is the only way to reach them.

This is not helping, and these are completely new devices for me.

I wrote here while simultaneously sending a ticket to Apple Support.
