High Settings usage in Screen Time

I am not too sure why the Settings Usage of my kids phone was so high ie basically constantly running for 24 hrs at the backgrounds seem like. It has obscured the view of other usages.

What I have done thus far based on the recommendations of many threads here but still without any success.

  1. Disable Background Refresh
  2. Perform Reset All Settings
  3. Disable and Reenable Screen Time from both my device and local kids’ phone.
  4. Disable “Share Across Device” on his iPad and iphone. It is observed that the settings still being shared across… obviously is a bug here.

Last step which is I am going to do a clean factory default of the phone without backup restoration which is very painful process.

Apple team, do I need to do this to resolve the software bugs that I am facing here?

This occured after I have updated my kids phone to IOS 26 which his phone is iPhone SE 2022 version.

Apple are not here.

Forced restart often helps https://support.apple.com/guide/iphone/force-restart-iphone-iph8903c3ee6/ios

Item 2 can make a mess

Item 3 is the best approach

Restore as vanilla is drastic, but if you do it, erase and restore your backup the same day to avoid creating a vanilla backup.

Is it actually using significant battery? if not just ignore it like you do the kids' tantrums, it will probably grow out of it.

Personally I avoid Screen Time like a plague, you have kids, it's different I guess.
