MacBook Air m2 battery issue stuck at 1%

MacBook Air 2022 M2 battery stuck on 1% and doesn't go past that... it shows charging but number stays at 1%. if I unplug the computer shuts down. battery health shows normal. any help?

1) Try starting up in Safe Mode followed by a Normal Restart.

2) Try Updating to Sequoia 15.7.3 or.... optionally Upgrading to Tahoe 26.2

3) Have the MBA looked at by your local Apple Authorized Service Provider.

Go to > Find Locations and click on Explore Service Locations.

If MagSafe charging is not working, then try using a USB-C charging cable instead to try & charge the battery.

More than likely the Battery in your laptop is bad and needs to be replaced. The symptom is exactly what happens when a Lithium Battery is allowed to be completely discharged for an extended length of time. Have Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider examine the laptop to confirm & provide you with a repair estimate.
