Low quality video messages on iPhone 16

I received 2 videos via messages yesterday on my iPhone 16 and both were super low quality. Both sent from iPhone users. My mom got the same video message from my sister on her iPhone 11 and th quality was much better. I tried updating the phone and restarting, but the quality is still super low. Super frustrating to have low quality video on a newer phone than a 5 year old phone
