Emojis not suggested when typing words on Ipad Pro IOS 26.2

IOS 26.2 on Ipad Pro. Emoji suggestions not popping up when sending a text message anymore. Have tried removing keyboards and adding, resetting keyboard, predictive text toggle is on. Did all the suggestions I could find. It works fine on my Iphone 15 that also has IOS 26.2, just doesn’t do it on Ipad anymore since update. First pic is the Ipad, second is the Iphone, as you can see the emojis suggestions pop up when I type the word.

I took iPad out of keyboard case…

tried typing “heart”

this prompted no emoji

however I can see emoji keyboard toggle on lower left of screen keyboard that allows me to “pick” 🥰. Tested it and when I typed heart, ❤️ showed up on top of keyboard as a “prompted option”

I don’t want to have to take the keyboard off each time just to get the emojis to show up when I type certain words. It worked fine before the update and works fine if I take it off the keyboard but not when connected to the keyboard. The predictive bar just doesn’t show up when attached to keyboard like it should and has prior to this update.
