"I have the same issue, been going on for a month or so now. I’ve tried disabling all safari extensions, clearing all browser data etc but nothing has worked. Installed Firefox which works fine and have set it as my default browser."

Safari Issues:
A. Clear the System Data:
Have removed all extensions, and signing-out Safari, it may be a bug in the iOS app, particularly Safari . So, clear the caches. Caches are created so that apps open quicker, and operate more affectively. As things are learned, changes are made. So, to clear these, you need to clear the System Data shown in your iPhone's storage. Use my User Tip: How to Clear "System Data" in your iPhone's Storage: - User Tip
