macbook air m4 2025 return issue

I purchased a MacBook Air on Apple Store United Kingdom online and received the delivery on December 23 2025. After a 5 days i tried to initiate a return through the Apple Store UK, but it shows the message

“Your order is no longer eligible for return”.

This is confusing because the return policy clearly states that there is a 14 days return window. Only five days have passed since delivery. Could anyone please explain why I am unable to place a return request and help me resolve this issue.
