Trend Micro Ad Blocker simply showed up on my iPad. I didn’t download it and don’t know where it came from.

Review other devices that are signed into your account at Settings > [name on top], and scroll to the bottom to see the device list. An app downloaded on any of those devices can appear on your iPad.
You can also review your Purchase History to see when it was downloaded from the App Store, no matter what device downloaded it.

The OP click on it to install now is blaming Apple. Why do I say this? The OP is the only one in all these years here in the iPad forum complaining about this.

First for me as well, but the initial post to which I responded said nothing about having clicked. I was trying to eliminate possibilities and get and much info up front as possible in this setting.
How did you see it? Was it in a popup window, or something else? Does it show in your Appl Library?

It showed up as an app. That I hadn't downloaded. Sadly, I have become very distrustful of anything unbeknownst to me.
