17 Pro Max GPS location suddenly wrong

I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max and my GPS occasionally flakes out. I will be driving and my GPS program will suddenly start recalculating and when I look at the map, I am anywhere from 1-2 miles away from my current true position. This impacts all GPS programs (Maps, Google Maps, Waze, CoPilot, etc.) It doesn't happen very often but it has happened to me 4 times in the past month. I live in the FL Panhandle and it occasionally shows me out in the Gulf when I am about 2 miles north of it. I experienced it again yesterday traveling south on US-79 and it decided I was about 1/2 mile east of where I actually was on the highway.

Usually I try all of the normal steps, unload apps, airplane mode on/off, networking on/off, location services on/off and forced reboot. Nothing is a dependable fix but it seems that turning off location services for several minutes often solves it. This is a particularly ugly solution if I have turns to make during that period.

Has anyone experienced weird GPS glitches? Any ideas on how to prevent this?
