M4 Mac Running Games Slow With Frame Drops

Hello! I just got a new MacBook Air M4 and it is struggling to run games. The one I have noticed the most is Minecraft where the game runs at 600fps but has constant frame drops that make the game unenjoyable. I have tried doing things that the community suggests like installing mods that make it so the resolution is lower but this problem is still consistent. This is annoying for a mac that promises insane gaming speeds and power, I am going to end up going back to my Intel macbook that could run this with no problems. Thanks.
