Start all over with iclouddrive after making an awful mess

I have messed up iclouddrive. I think i have erased everything in it, but iClouddrive still claims that I have alot GB still in there. How do I start all over from the beginning again? Can't use the old iCloudDrive since it claims to have files in it. it's just a bloody mess.

Windows, Windows 11 (26200)

Files and photos deleted from iCloud are initially moved to the Recently Deleted folder - from where they can be undeleted/recovered. As such, deleted files continue to occupy iCloud storage space until they are either automatically removed (typically after 30 days) or manually deleted from the Recently Deleted folder.

You can recover deleted files and photos (or permanently delete them) by signing-in to iCloud using web browser:

Unless you subscribe to Apple’s “paid” iCloud storage plans, you only have 5GB of iCloud storage - which may be inadequate for your storage needs. For a small monthly subscription, you can opt for 50GB, 200GB, 2TB or more of iCloud storage.

I have solved the problem. I changed the directory for iCloud drive in the computer and are now waiting for the deleted files to be deleted after 30 days.

If you sign-in to iCloud using a web-browser, as previously suggested, you can manually delete files from the Recently Deleted folder - making occupied iCloud storage space immediately available for reuse.

Starting another a apple account destroys all my music purchases. So that's probably to make it worse. :D

That is correct (except for the possible option of migrating the purchases below) which is why I suggested troubleshooting the issue. If you are unable to resolve with the links provided by LotusPilot, then follow up with screenshots of what you see so we can guide you further.

There is an option of migrating purchases from one account to another, but there are some restrictions to doing that.
