iPhone iOS 26: Textbox/button visibility issue

I installed iOS 26 and have problems with accessibilty. I can't see edges of textboxes and (OK) buttons clearly. Can't find a good solution. Anyone has an idea?

For example: when turning on my iPhone I'm almost unable to see where the SIM pin textbox is located and the 'OK' button is hard to see. It's all in very light grey on a white background. My eyes are not very good but good enough to see everything until now.

My (elder) neighbor asked for my help because she couldn't see it at all.

I think I tried every setting, also liquid glass. Hope someone can help!

Settings, Display & brightness, display zoom, set it to Default

Then Either

Settings, Display & Brightness , Liquid glass, set to Tinted instead of Glassy

Or one or more of these

Settings, Accessibility, Display & Text size, reduce transparency

Settings, Accessibility, Display & Text size , increase contrast

Settings, Accessibility, Motion, Reduce motion

Settings, Accessibility, Display & Text size , Display Borders

This is an example. I use this example because my elder neighbor wasn't able to enter her SIM pin after an update because she couldn't see the textbox outline.

Like you said, most people don't use this often. So when asked for your PIN and you can't find the textbox bad things can happen. She wasn't able to fix it and couldn't use her phone to make or receive calls.

Turning off the PIN code for the SIM card is an option to go around the issue. I'd rather solve it though.
