A found iPad is locked

i found this i pad around christmas it has the name lauren b santagtaaon the back but its locked.

Turn it over to the authorities where you live. You can't use the iPad at all. And Apple doesn't get involved in lost or stolen goods.

Apple will not assist with tracing or reuniting a lost device with its rightful owner - as using any data that it may have access will transgress privacy legislation in many countries in which it operates.


If the iPad disabled or Activation Locked, unless you can independently obtain assistance from the previous owner, the iPad is (and will remain) useless to you.  Even if you attempt a reset, the device will remain Activation Locked and protected - requiring knowledge of the Apple Account credentials that were last used to successfully activate the device. This information will be known only to its owner.
