EBay app doesn’t let me login.
I have downloaded the app twice.
hard reset the iPad.
ipad is up to date iOS 26.2
changed password.
any ideas?
Had to login again on my phone with same password. It worked.

Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN, then restart your device. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. Updates sometimes need to have VPN to be removed and reinstalled. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN, but probably shouldn't.

"Hard reset" isn't a term that appears in Apple's lexicon. Perhaps you actually refer to a forced restart:

If deleting and reinstalling the App doesn't resolve the problem, you will need to seek assistance from eBay's online technical help. As a workaround, you can access eBay using a web browser.
Forget the app. Just visit eBay in Safari.

I don’t use many site apps and use a browsers . Contacting the app developer is a lose cause. The app for the iPhone and iPad are not the same app.

Many Apps for online services are simply a cosmetic "front-end" for a simplified web-browser. Using the provider's App instead of a browser App is a largely a matter of personal preference - the "App" sometimes providing additional service-specific functionality over that of a web browser.
If for some reason the dedicated App doesn't correctly render page - or doesn't work properly with the installed version of iPadOS, you have alternative option of using a browser of your choice - such as Safari, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome or others.

For many of them, there isn’t a point other than making it easier for a vendor to gather and use your data.
If there is a vpn installed the op would have other issues. Why people us vpn is beyond me… it only slows down you internet speed. Like I said let the op figure it out… google is your friend. This app has a lot of issues anyway.
