We can't tell you here why it was removed. But that happens when your post violates the ToS of the forums.
You should have received an email explaining the removal.

No info in e-mail from Apple, which I attached to a follow-up e-mail to you. Sorry I neglected to do that in my original to you. I would like to know which section of the terms of use was violated. It was a simple question, which I can repeat here if that is permitted. Thanks for your reply!

Rather than ask the question again, I will just post the attached screenshot, which shows my Applications folder on the left, and my System/Applications folder on the right. I think you can see the problem. This is from my M4 Pro Mac Mini running macOS Tahoe version 26.2.

With respect, it isn't a 'duplication,' it's a duplication. 1.02 GB of content that is identical to that in my Applications folder. Those are not aliases, they are duplicates. Here is my rejected question: "Can they be removed safely?"
It isn't a duplication. The copies in the Applications folder are there for convenience and don't take up space themselves; selecting one and choosing Get Info from the File menu shows that it's in the System folder.

I don't see what the problem is. The System Applications on the right are what gets installed with the OS and the one on the left includes third party applications installed. They are not duplicated taking up additional storage space. Choose "Get Info" on one like the App Store and note the location for each in the Get Info windows. It is exactly the same. That is some of the magic being performed by the OS, so it is not taking up additional storage space.
The 'duplication' isn't a problem.

The pre-installed apps in the Applications folder are just pointers to the base ones in the System folder. They are not taking up additional space as has been explained.
I get it now, and I guess it happened with Sequoia and I just noticed. FWIW, the answer in the image below (underlined in green) is what I needed.
