I'm using Sequoia (15.7.3) on my MacBook Pro (16" 2021).
Every time I restart my system, a copy of my photo library appears on my desktop, while the regular photos are still in my Pictures folder.
What's causing this, and more importantly, how can I fix it?

Are you sure that you have Not Created and Alias to the Photos Library on the Desktop
To check this
⌘ + i ( eye ) on the photo library on the desktop
What does it report regarding >>> Size <<<

Perhaps a Screen Shot of this alias, not alias with the " size is actually zero bytes. "
While at it, showthe " Where " properties
