MathType alternatives on macOS for equation editing

What equation editor do you use on macOS? MathType vs alternatives?

I’ve been using MathType for years, but on macOS it feels a bit outdated lately.

I recently found MathCapture, which seems to integrate smoothly with Word and PowerPoint.

Curious what everyone else is using and why.https://www.mathcapture.tech/

I have used just LibreOffice's built-in editor (Insert > OLE Object > Formula Object...). Although it is sometimes clumsy it has been sufficient for high school math. For example:

left lbrace alignl {binom {2x +3y +23 = 0} {3x -y -4 = 0}} right none newline
D(color red {{f(x)}} over {color green {g(x)}}) = {color red {f'(x)} color green {g(x)} - color red {f(x)} color green {g'(x)}} over color green {{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}{}(g(x))^2} newline
int {{color fuchsia {s'(x)}} over {color blue {u(x)}}} = color blue {ln abs {u(x)}} + C newline
int from a to b f(x) dx = oper / from a to b F(x) <- works "in" .odt but does not display correctly "in" .docx newline
int from a to b f(x) dx = left none right rline_a^b F(x) newline
int from a to b f(x) dx = "/"_a^b F(x) newline
int from a to b f(x) dx = ⁄_a^b F(x)
