Intel MacBook Pro Wi-Fi unstable after macOS update

Hi everyone,

Since updating my MacBook Pro to macOS Tahoe, my system has become noticeably slower, and I have experienced several glitches. The most persistent issue appeared after updating to macOS 26.2: my Wi-Fi connection now disconnects intermittently and unpredictably.

I am using an Intel-based MacBook Pro with a 2.6 GHz 6-core Intel Core i7 and 16 GB of RAM.

So far, I have tried the following without success:

  • Restarting both the modem/router and the MacBook
  • Forgetting and re-adding the Wi-Fi network
  • Renewing the DHCP lease
  • Standard network troubleshooting steps recommended online

The problem persists across restarts and does not seem to be router-specific.

Has anyone with an Intel Mac experienced similar Wi-Fi issues after the macOS Tahoe or 26.2 update? Any knows how to resolve this issue?

Year? Model Identifier? is more specific...

what exactly is this mystery "Intel-based MacBook Pro with a 2.6 GHz 6-core Intel Core i7 "

Is this isolated to your home Network only...?

or all wifi connections StarBucks, University, McDonalds, City Library WiFi alternatives, seems this would be telling.

Does the User Hadware test kick out any error codes?

Hi,

I have the same problem here.

Since I updated my MacBook Pro 13 2020 (2 GHz Intel Core i5, 16 Go, 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports) with Tahoe 26.2, it is frequently disconnected from wifi network.

I performed an Apple diagnostics and I got a ADP000 code, means « no problem ».

All other devices connected to the same wifi network no suffered disconnection.

I tried to connect my Mac to my iPhone as a wifi hotspot, I got the same problem of disconnecting
