Mac mini: Sequoia 15.7.3 local network permissions issue

Hello,

after the latest Sequoia update (15.7.3) it seems my local network permissions stopped working for some applications (in particular BetterDisplay)

At every boot/reboot of my Mac mini I have to go to settings and toggle local network permissions on and off to make the app communicate with the rest of the network

I’ve read some users had this exact issue in the past with Sequoia and it got fixed after some updates… am I the only one having this issue at the moment?

If a simple reboot of your Mac doesn’t fix things, see if the problem still happens in safe mode.  Safe mode will often correct weird software behavior by forcing the OS to clear caches, do disk repair and other self-maintenance and housekeeping and temporarily disables third-party mods.

How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

TIP - best to use a wired USB keyboard for this. If you have the Magic Keyboard, plug that into the Mac with its charging cable.

Does the problem go away in Safe mode?

If so, this may indicate an OS software conflict caused by your apps.

You can exit safe mode by restarting your Mac normally, then reevaluate the problem.

If the problem goes away in safe mode but returns after restarting normally… then download and run the free version of EtreCheckPro EtreCheck Pro.

That's a good report, and to my eye there is nothing that pops out as being potentially problematic.

I suggest that you keep in touch with the Better Display developer and work with him to resolve this.

Meanwhile, you might try completely uninstalling that app, then downloading a fresh copy and reinstalling it.

Finally, you said that you had to toggle local network permissions for the app to get it to communicate. Which setting(s) is that, exactly, that you are toggling?

I tried that and upon reinstallation macOS asked me to enable local network permission again but that didn't stick, a couple of reboots later BD lost network access again even if it's permitted in the settings

To make it work again at each reboot I have to go in settings->privacy&security->local network and toggle BD off and on again
