Update 26.2 iOS issue with Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes app. Deleted progress. Also, will not let me sign in to the Game Center

Update 26.2 reset Star Wars Gallaxy of Heroes. Cannot sign in to game center either. It says Unable to sign in and try again later. The game has started all over and nothing from my old account is available in the game. Anyone have this issue?

It sounds like your game achievements have been reset. There are a few possible explanations for this:

  • You may have accidentally reset your game progress. Some games have a built-in reset function that allows you to start the game over from scratch. If you accidentally triggered this function, your achievements would have been reset as well.
  • Your game data may have been corrupted. This can happen if there is a problem with your game's save file or if your device's storage is full. If your game data is corrupted, your achievements may be reset.
  • There may be a problem with the game itself. This is less likely, but it is possible that there is a bug in the game that is causing achievements to be reset.
  • Ensure that you're logged into the correct account associated with your game achievements. Sometimes, multiple accounts or profiles can exist, and it's possible that you may have inadvertently switched to a different one.
  • If the game supports online synchronization or cloud saving, verify that it is enabled and functioning properly. This feature allows your game progress and achievements to be saved on remote servers, so you can retrieve them even if you switch devices or reinstall the game.
  • It's possible that a recent game update or patch may have affected your achievements. In some cases, updates can reset progress or introduce bugs that impact achievements. Make sure you have the latest version of the game installed and check if the developers have addressed any known issues.
  • If the above steps don't resolve the issue, reach out to the game's support team or visit their official forums for assistance. Provide them with as much detail as possible about your situation, including the platform you're playing on and any relevant information about your account.

If you are sure that you did not accidentally reset your game progress or corrupt your game data, you can try the following:

  • Reinstall the game. This will delete all of your game's data and install a fresh copy of the game.
  • Contact the game's developer. If you are still having problems, you can contact the game's developer for help. They may be able to help you restore your achievements or fix the problem.

Remember, these suggestions are general in nature, and it's always best to refer to the game's official support channels for personalized assistance. They will have access to specific information about your account and can provide you with the most accurate guidance.

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution!

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.
