Speech to text duplicates the last word in text messages

Often when I’m using speech to text, it adds a duplicate singular form of the very last word I was trying to send to somebody. For example:

”it duplicates my word words.”

sometimes I will turn off the microphone and it will correct itself, but other times it will simply send with that duplicated word in my text message.

Hello!

What’s your iOS version? Settings > General > Software Update.

Have you tried force restarting your iPhone? Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Is this happening only with dictation, or also when you ask Siri to send a message for you… for example?

You can also try to toggle off Dictation, restart your iPhone, and then toggle it back on. Settings > General > Keyboards. Now look for “Enable Dictation” near the bottom.

Reply if you can’t get it fixed. Good luck!
