How do I prevent further deductions for an unsuccessful app download and missing subscription on iPhone?

On 27 December 2025 i went to App store to download an App - GluHealth - Blood Sugar Monitor

It did not download on my iphone 15, but I was charged 3 times already for costs with the following details on my Apple ID loaded credit card:

27/12/2025 - R51.40

27/12/2025 - R 16.96

2/1/2026 - R511.63

The reference number is GluLife.APP-4N7Y

The app does not appear on my phone, the subscription does not appear on my profile and I did not receive an invoice from Apple as i do with all my purchases, renewals. It was impossible to report on phone as app does not appear in the list op subscriptions to report.

I have since stopped my credit card at the bank and reported the transactions as fraudulent.

But how do I prevent further deductions from the newly loaded credit card details via my Apple ID?

"It did not download on my iphone 15" You say you did not even download the app. Are you sure about this? Your iPhone 15 is capable of running it if you keep the system updated on it. "Search for it ( Use Spotlight Search on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support ). Swipe down from the middle of any home screen and type the name of the app into the search field at the top of the screen. If it is in a folder, it will show the folder on the right of the app name after you tap on the app when it appears in the search."

The app itself is free but typically then you will be starting a trial which will automatically turn into a paid subscription.

Any purchase you make through Apple's App Store will appear in your purchase history, including subscriptions.

It is possible with some vendors to make purchases/subscriptions directly with the vendor through their web site. Then they will not appear in your Apple purchase history, but then too Apple has nothing to do with managing that purchase, you have to work with the vendor directly. Edit:

You have not been scammed. When making a purchase from Apple you have to undertake multiple very deliberate steps which are part of agreeing to the terms of purchase. Whether or not you read them is up to you (I agree, many are long and tedious, but they are a contract). If you signed up with the vendor directly then it has nothing to do with Apple and you are agreeing to the vendor's terms. Apple provides a way for you to cancel subscriptions. A vendor should have a way for you to do it if you subscribed directly through them. Do not cancel a card if you did this through Apple because if you add another card Apple will just charge it instead. If you cancel a card with the vendor directly then it is between the two of you.

Notes:

• You might need to scroll down to find the Cancel Subscription button.

• If you don’t see Cancel Subscription, then the subscription is already canceled and won't renew. An "Expires" date (instead of "Renews") means the current subscription has been canceled but will work until the expiration date. "Resubscribe" (or Renew) is just in case you change your mind about having it end.

• Deleting an app does not cancel a subscription.

• If you don’t cancel trials more than 24 hours before your renewal date, your subscription might renew.

• Free trials will usually automatically turn into paid subscriptions unless you cancel in time.

• If you don't have an Apple device, see the options near the bottom of the support document.

• Many subscriptions are set to renew automatically until you intentionally cancel them.
