MacBook M3 repeatedly loses HDMI connection to DELL monitor

My DELL monitor P2419H is recognised by my MacBook 15" M3 2024, but loses connection (HDMI) over and over again. I've tried reconnecting the cables, resetting both MacBook and monitor, changing ports, changing energy savings settings but nothing seems to work. Any one?

Is this a MacBook Air (no HDMI port) or a MacBook Pro?

What hubs/docks, adapters, and cables are you using? How long are the cables? Recent versions of macOS are intolerant of display transmission errors, and may cut signal if they see any. So a marginal cable or one that is too long may lead to display drop-outs.
