Ipad keyboard. Not working

used to buy Android phones but became frustrated with them. So I decided to spent the extra money and buy an iPhone

Two months later I bought an iPad Pro

I spent over $2,000 on both of them

Four years later, the keyboard on my phone stopped working.  I would type a letter and see 4 or 5 letters, or numbers and letters or a different letter and a few spaces.

I contacted apple and was told there was no solution so I bought a new phone

Now, 4 months later the same thing is starting to happen to my iPad Pro

Is there no way to solve this?

So every 4 years I will need to spend $2.000+  on new devices and then spend days reinstalling apps and transferring things that are not on the cloud?

I always buy devices out right, I look at getting a phone through a provider but when I multiply the payments by the length of the contract it is much more  expensive

iPhone's don't have physical keyboards, so not sure how it would have stopped working. If you bought a third party physical keyboard that connects to the iPhone, then contact the manufacturer of the keyboard. Apple does not make physical keyboards for iPhones.

There wouldn't be, if it's a physical keyboard they don't make. If it was the onscreen keyboard, a restart usually would fix that. Failing that, a restore should clear most issues.

iPads can be used with physical keyboards made by Apple. Are you using one of those?

Depends on why its failing and whether the issue is with the onscreen keyboard or a physical keyboard.

Are you using a physical keyboard with your iPad? If so, is it one made by Apple? Or one from a third party?

Have you tried restarting the iPad?

"spend days reinstalling apps and transferring things that are not on the cloud"

Have you tried transferring with a nearby iPhone? You can usually keep trade in phones for a couple days at the least before you must give them to whoever you trade it in to. You can also keep a backup on a Mac or Windows computer or in iCloud (even for free for a limited time).

Can you tell us more about your situation? Do you have any screen protectors or cases that could be interfering? Do you use the default keyboard? In what language? Do you have any accessibility features enabled? I can think of some that might interfere.
