How to create a device-specific daily reminder in Reminders on iMac without cluttering Calendar?

If you have syncing enabled, any reminder will appear on all devices you have signed in to the same Apple ID. There is no way to have a reminder appear on only one device.

You could try downloading a third-party reminder app only to your Mac.

If you go to iCloud settings on your Mac and turn off Reminder sync, that should disable Reminder propagation across all your devices. (See Settings > Your Apple Account > iCloud > Reminders > Off)

In the Calendar app on your Mac you may need to UNcheck Scheduled Reminders in the Calendar List if you don't want them to appear in your calendar.

Note that MartinR's excellent suggestion will disable the syncing of all reminders from/to your Mac. If that works for you, great.

What you can't do is sync some reminders and not others.
