PowerMac 7600: DB15 to VGA pin settings for LCD monitor

Hi, I have a question about connecting a LCD monitor to a PowerMac 7600.

I have a 10 pin DB15 to VGA adapter to use here but can’t figure out the pin settings needed. The monitor is HP1907 LCD

Pics show suggestions. Thanks

That's a nice adapter with resolution settings molded into the plastic. For the 10-switch adapters that I used with 17" CRT VGA displays, I set switches 1, 4, 6, 7, & 8 to the ON position. Keep in mind that your 7600 onboard graphics support is only programmed for the older 4:3 aspect ratio settings that existed when the computer was manufactured from 1996-1997. Because the HP 1907's native resolution is 1440 x 900 @ 60 Hz, its widescreen image will likely be distorted.

When purchased new, the default configuration would have had all switches in the OFF position, which is down. They decided to use a raised square to illustrate a switch being slid up to the ON position. The adapters that I bought years ago had no chart on the back, nor a cover to protect the switches from being inadvertently moved to OFF or ON. A small instruction sheet had the necessary info.
