Hi! I'm having trouble with my iCloud files on my 2019 MacBook Air. Even though I have 45 GB of space left, I cannot download any files from iCloud.
I've tried restarting the computer, checking the connection, and updating the system, but I was still unable to download anything. What am I supposed to do then?

It sounds like you are running very low on free storage space. My 1 TB, M3 MacAir began behaving oddly with less than 150GB available. The Mac uses that space to manipulate files, and if you don't give it room it will have trouble. You need to keep at least 10% of the storage free, and my experience was 15%. The same applies at iCloud.
Have you tried logging in and out of iCloud Drive? Do you have vpns installed? Did you get any error codes? How did you check the connection?
