iPad not charging via Digital AV connector after iOS update

iPad does not charge anymore via Digital AV (hdmi) connector.

iPad does mirror my screen to a monitor, but is does not charge anymore via the AV connector (hdmi-lightning). It used to work. Original Apple charger, original Apple AV connector, iPad 9th gen, iOS 26.2

Seems this doesn't work since latest iOS upgrade? Is that possible and will it be fixed?
