Extracting Multiple Pages As PNG or JPEG From A PDF File At Once




Step 1) Open the PDF File. 




Step 2) Choose the pages from the left panel via CMD + Click or Range Select (SHIFT + Click)




Step 3) Right Click 




Step 4) Export As




Format : JPG




Resolution : 150




But It exports only the right clicked page?




How can I do this at once?

I already wrote the Shortcut so you don't have to. It does not prompt you for the page numbers you want to split out to images. That would be considerably more work, if possible at all.


If you click on this link, your Shortcuts application will ask you if you want to install it and if you agree that happens. Double-click on that Shortcut in the Shortcuts app and read the Comment section. The installed Short cut will not be accessible until you do so in the System Settings (explained in that Comment section).


Here is what that Split PDF into Images Shortcut looks like:

You are not going to open a PDF in Pages, and Preview is the wrong tool for what you want to do.


Is your goal to have individual images of those selected PDF pages written out as JPG or PNG, or the entire PDF pages separately saved as images?


I have written an Apple Shortcut that allows you to right-click on one or more PDFs and then split their pages into images. That Shortcut assumes you have a folder on your Desktop named PDF_Images and the images are written in numeric suffix (0..n) order.
