Safari displays incorrect favicons in Favorites and History

Hello. Does anyone know if the Safari Favicon issue has been or is being resolved? This is the problem whereby an incorrect website favicon appears against a specific website name on the favorites bar or history side bar. In my case against the Google website I don’t have the Google favicon but another one I don’t even recognise. I have seen many suggestions offered regarding clearing website data etc., but none of these worked for me. Just wondered if anyone had any updated information. Thanks.
