Re: "iMac 24″, macOS 15.7"

If still using MacOS Sequoia: You may want to check that you are using the most recent version:

What's new in the updates for macOS Sequoia - Apple Support says macOS Sequoia 15.7.3

is the latest: "This update provides important security fixes and is recommended for all users."

You can check for updates in System Settings > General > Software updates.

Reminder: if you choose to update MacOS it is always wise to back up your Mac first.

Keeping MacOS updated to the newest compatible version often sidesteps issues that arise.

Although am using an earlier MacOS version than yours, your Mac Mail version is likely similar:

When a mail window is "tiled" left or right or used in split-screen some tool options may be hidden.

You can click >> at top far right to reveal them.

Else: If this "shrinking" happens when a Mail window is expanded / screen-sized / to show all the available "tool" options: seems the toolbar may need customizing.

With the Mail app open:

Click "View" in the top menu

Scroll right down the menu that opens ... to click "Customize toolbar" near the bottom

In the "customize toolbar" window that opens:

You can choose to :"Drag the default set into the toolbar"

or

just drag individual "tools" into the toolbar to add them.

________

If needed: Apple support's article about customizing toolbars in general may be helpful.
