Apple Watch not announcing halfway points and goal achieved on outdoor walk workouts after update

Apple Watch will not longer announce “Halfway Point-x.xx miles” or “Goal Achieved-x.xx miles” after IOS 26.2 update. I have tried taking my phone along to ensure connectivity (never had to prior to update). But no luck. It will announce each mile split times and every 10 minutes elapsed but not the distance points/goal achieved like it used to. Any help/suggestions like a setting I need to recheck? TIA.
