I-phone 16 lock symbol in Dynamic Island

my I- phone 16 is locked up with a black screen and a lock symbol in the top left corner of the Dynamic Island and is non responsive. how do I remove this?


iPhone 16 Pro Max, iOS 26

Force your iPhone to restart:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
  3. Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo (this might take longer than 10 seconds).


If that was too difficult, then simply ask Siri: "Restart".
