How to establish what USB drivers are installed in Sequoia 15.6.1?

How do I establish which usb drivers are installed on sequoia? (OS 15.6.1 24in iMac M3 16GB)

I have some Wemos D1 ESO32 mini development boards.

My iMac fails to see them when they are either attached via a powered hub or direct to a USB C port on the back.

This failure is consistent across all the known good USB C cables I have.

The boards are said to have a CH340G USB controller chip, and I am "pretty sure" I have installed a CH340 driver in the ipast, but have no idea how to interrogate the Mac's properties to find out.

The only reference to USB from "About this Mac" is a greyed out comment "Allow accessories to connect" that is shown in the search pane below "Privacy and Security". IU can't see a submenu under Privacy and Security that refers to USB or connected accessories.

Does anybody have a clue how to discover this setting on our own computers, or are we simply no longer responsible enough to be allowed to know this?

iMac 24″, macOS 15.6

+⌥ (option)->System Information->USB->look for the device to see if the system recognizes it. If recognized but not working contact the device manufacturer for advice. If not then contact the manufacturer for driver information.

As for a list of installed drivers there isn't one that I know of. macOS does not included specific drivers for specific devices but supports the published standards. If a device complies it will be recognized. If the device requires a specialized driver then the user must download and install such driver from the manufacturer.

Of course you could reinstall the driver and see if the issue remains.

This "Allow accessories to connect" option is only available with the laptops.

In your screenshot did you click on the "Details" button shown within the "Security" section called "Some system software requires your attention before it can be used." Sounds like this may be preventing your third party drivers from being active.

Also, you may want to update to macOS 15.7.3 in case it is part of the problem.
